My Thoughts

I recently had the privilege of speaking and teaching at the FBSN SOS 2026 conference in Lousiville, KY. When I get to interact with team leaders in this type of environment its both encouraging and educational. The encouragement comes by having safety leaders from over 40 states reinforce the validity of what we are teaching. The education comes from sitting under the instruction and inspirational speaking of some of the best church safety experts in the nation. This organization (FBSN) is helping to forge a shift in the vulnerability of our faith based organizations accross the nation. More and more church leaders are beginning to recognize that we have been soft targets and weak responders for too long. No panic, no overreaction, just concerned leaders drawing a line in the sand and saying enough! If you are not already a member of the FBSN you should consider getting on board. It’s not just a coalliton of like minded faith based operators, but it is also a repository of some great training materials and other resources your team can benefit from.
